House rules

1. The Event

Cow Pie Bingo will be held Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at 7:30 PM at the Isabella County Fairgrounds, Beef Pavilion (Building D), Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Two raffle games are conducted under one Large Raffle license: Game 1 (Presale): tickets $100.00 each; prize is 25% of gross Game 1 ticket sales, paid to one winner. Game 2 (Door): tickets $25.00 each; prize is $500.00 cash, paid to one winner.

2. Tickets

All tickets are consecutively numbered, and each ticket bears the same number as its purchaser stub. Ticket numbers do not correspond to grid squares, and purchasers may not choose squares. All tickets are sold in person only; tickets are not sold online. Game 1 tickets are sold in advance and on event day until the cow takes the field. Game 2 tickets are sold at the door until the cow takes the field (sometime after 7:40 PM). Purchasers must be 18 years of age or older.

3. How the Winning Square Is Determined

A fenced enclosure is marked with numbered squares, and a grid representing each square in the enclosure is drawn. The cow is released into the enclosure for up to 60 minutes to complete its portion of the event. The winning square is the square in which the cow drops its first cow pie.

4. Tie Provision

If a cow pie lands on more than one square, the square containing the majority of the cow pie is the winning square. If event officials cannot visually determine which square contains the majority, the event chairperson will determine the winning square by a random draw among the affected squares, conducted in view of attendees.

5. How the Winning Ticket Is Determined

After the winning square is identified, it is transferred to the grid. Ticket stubs are then drawn at random, one at a time, and assigned to squares on the grid starting in the upper left corner and moving left to right, one row at a time, until the winning square has been assigned a ticket and all prizes are awarded. The ticket assigned to the winning square wins. Game 1 and Game 2 are conducted as separate drawings under this same method.

6. If the Cow Does Not Cooperate

If the cow does not complete its portion of the event within the allotted time, the winning square will be randomly selected and transferred to the grid, and winners determined as described in Section 5. If circumstances prevent the animal determination from being conducted at all, winners will be determined by a traditional raffle drawing at the scheduled date and time.

7. Winners and Prize Claims

Winners will be announced at the event. Winners need not be present to win. The Museum will contact any absent winner using the information on the ticket stub. Prizes are paid by Museum check within 14 days of the event. Winners may be required to show identification. Prizes not claimed within 30 days will be handled in accordance with Charitable Gaming rules.
